This week, we would like to talk about one of our fabulous staff members, and her career progression journey with us here at MCJA.
Paige is one of our fabulous co-ordinator’s here at MCJA – she originally started here as an ECM, whilst also completing her NVQs/access course into nursing and providing care in the community. Paige is now working bank with us whilst she is studying Nursing in University, as well as completing placements in Aintree hospital.
Paige is an absolute asset to the team and always goes out of her way to help the team and our service users – she even called an ambulance for a service user, and stayed with them on her day off, when she should have been studying for her Nursing degree!
Here is what Paige had to say:
“I started my journey at MCJA as one of the electronic call monitoring team when I was only 17, I then progressed and took on the role of care coordinator for Speke. Both of these roles I carried out whilst continuing my studies of nursing at college. In order to assist with my college program and the development of my skill set I completed care shifts in the community. My time working out in the community assisted me in gaining the knowledge I would need to advance on to my next goal of pursuing my nursing career.”
I have now gone on to study Nursing full time at University. My time spent working at Merseycare Julie Ann and the training I was provided has massively helped me in my nursing journey and has taught me everything I know about the healthcare sector.”
Well done Paige, and we wish you the best of luck and will give you all the support in completing your Nursing qualifications!
