team after completing pretty muddy challenge

On the 20th July 2024, 12 of our team took part in the gruelling and mucky ‘Pretty Muddy’ Race for Life, raising funds for Cancer Research UK. We ran 5k through muddy water,Image shows staff in the pretty muddy race tackled a number of obstacles, image shows staff jumping over obstacles in the pretty muddy race rock-climbed, and much more, all for an incredible cause. And in total, we raised an OUTSTANDING £5077.88 for the incredible charity! Without your help and without your generous donations, we never would have been able to reach this. Your donations help so much more than you can imagine, in ways such as:
  • Funding further advanced research into treatment and earlier diagnosis.
  • Funding long-term plans, commitments and projects.
  • Funding wages for end-of-life care staff, nurses, researchers, scientists, counsellors and so many other professionals who make a difference to people’s lives and conduct life-saving research.
  • Paying for the latest advanced equipment, that supports researchers in moving closer to a cure.
  • Funding their ‘Cancer Chat’, to enable 24/7 support for cancer sufferer’s and their loved ones.
  • And so much more.
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity, aiming to work towards a cure for ALL types of cancer through ground-breaking research into early diagnosis, treatment, and raising awareness. Without your donations, we would not be able to help support this incredible charity do what they do to beat cancer. We want to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who took the time to leave a donation and sponsor ourselves for this event – we had an absolute ball doing it, and all for a good cause. We would also like to give a special mention to one of our colleagues, Karen Muqa, who sadly passed away. Karen worked for ourselves for many years, and was loved deeply by the rest of the MCJA team. She loved her job more than anything, and fought hard to stay with her kids who she loved so much. We hope we made you proud Karen. image shows staff after completing the pretty muddy challange
