Stan’s Time As An Olympic Boxer – A Feature

During Stan’s incredible boxing career, Stan had a feature in his local newspaper, captioned: “Boxing brothers with the Golden Globes club are Stan (left) and Ronnie Atherton. England international Stan, a 21-year-old lightweight, flew to Germany recently to make guest appearances for Manchester’s touring Cavendish club – the third time he old welterweight and a former schoolboy champion, recently made a successful ring come-back after an absence of over four years. Their father, Arthur Artherton is the secretary of the West Lancs & Cheshire Division, making them a real boxing family.”
What an incredible story! Thank you for sharing Stan.
